I am a registered Libertarian, but I see this election as too important to our future as a nation to cast my vote for a third party that has no chance of winning. In time, I hope that changes, but in the here and now, we need to focus on what's before us. Bush is a cancer for this country. A cancer that needs to be excised immediately. He's running this country into the ground and there are no signs that it will get better any time soon. I shudder to think what he would do with another four years. He spits in the face of the very Constitution he swore to uphold and defies the laws of the land. I believe this country needs a leader with an optimistic vision, one who will bring this country together, fix our problems here at home and make us respected in the world again. I believe John Kerry can provide that leadership. That is why I'm not voting with my party in this election, and voting for Kerry. The future of our country and the future of our Constitution hang in the balance.
1. Supreme Court. Bush is likely to choose people who will overturn Roe V Wade, and i like to have control over my own reproductive organs, even if I won't make the choice myself. I also would like not to see morality legislated.
2. Healthcare. I have chronic conditions, and cannot afford to be without, no matter how crappy the current healthcare system may be.
3. Economy. Bush's spending policies were directly responsible for my husband being laid off, and I don't want to see my kids get saddled with more debt than any other generation has ever seen. I also wonder what's going to happen to our economy when Japan and China and Germany stop buying our bonds.
4. War. The war morphed from a war on terrorism into a war on the guy who tried too kill Bush's daddy.
5. Social. I do not wish to see anyone's religious views affect how I can live my life. This means not changing the constitution to outlaw gay marriage, still being able to have a choice over my own body and...

: Why I'm choosing blue
While I would consider myself an independent voter, I am voting Democrat in this presidential election. True, I don't agree with John Kerry on a lot of issues - just one of which is support for gay marriage. However, I agree even less with GWB. I feel that Bush has rather overtly been trying to force his religious dogma on all Americans. His bans on stem cell research, his attempts to put discrimination into the Constitution in the form of the Federal Marriage Amendment, and his views on abortion are just a few of the many examples I can think of. I value justice, I value tolerance, I value research and education, and I value freedom of choice. I think that the chances of America advancing in this direction - towards more freedom, less discrimination, less dogma - are better with Kerry than with Bush.

President Bush is the right man for the job, on every level. The Democratic party has become a hotbed of shrill harpies, engaging in every kind of low, dirty tricks to try and steal the election. Just look at some of what they've been up to and ask yourself: who is on your side? VOTE BUSH!!!
I'm a fiscal conservative, but as a gay man, I'm a social liberal. While my economics are Republican at heart, I can't in good conscience vote for the party that would deny me protection from discrimination, and deny me the right to marry.
Finding myself leaning both ways but its just plain dumb not to vote....
I pose this question:
Doctor 1 and Doctor 2 both went to their respecive Ivy league medical schools. Dr. 1 was an A student. Dr. 2 was a C student. Who do you want doing your brain surgery?
Then I pose this question:
Candidate 1 and Candidate 2 both went to their respective Ivy league schools. Candidate 1 was an A student. Candidate 2 was a C student. Who do you want leading the free world?
George Bush must go. He's simply continuing the legacy of Prescott Bush, and throwing in a little fascism to boot.
I've pledged to pull the ripcord and leave this country if he wins. If the average american can be so swayed by fox news et. al. and choses more of the same, why should I be interested in saving them after the fact?
"W" is in the right place at the right time in our country's history. For that matter, the world. "W" is not popular and by the way, neither was Reagan.
It's the lesser of the evils
I am voting Libertarian because every human who is capable of taking responsibility for his or her actions has an inborn, inherent, innate, inseparable right to express, possess, or do anything, anytime, anywhere, without asking anyone's permission, as long as they don't initiate force against another human being. This is called the "Zero Aggression Principle" and it is the basis upon which all Libertarian politics rests. Can any other party give such a clear, simple, consistent statement of their moral beliefs?
Any want to jump in and discuss this last debate?
There is not a single reason I can think of that is positive when assessing George Bush's record these past 3-1/2 years. In fact, the future with George W as president for another 4 years is frightening on every front. Kerry offers us, and consequently the world, a thoughtful, intelligent, measured, honest, hard-working, diplomatic, courageous, experienced, and respectable President -- none of which describe George W Bush.
George Bush & Co. have failed the test of time. There is a better choice in the wings. We need to shout this November: "Bush, you're FIRED!"
Becazuse I am voting for the democractic candidate in this election and because Bush is Satan :-)
I am a woman, a single, working mother aged 30, to be exact. I have a daughter with Type 1 Diabetes who is in the public school system. The current administration has nothing to offer me or my child. They do not support scientific research that could change my daughter's life expectancy dramatically. They do not support my rights, or my daughter's future rights, to reproductive freedom. Because of the current adminstration my annual medication expenses have risen, my annual income has been reduced significantly, my taxes have increased and my daughter's education has declined. Everyday the current administration attacks the underdog with their policies and build-up their "base", as Bush called them "the haves and the have mores", with their tax cuts and kick backs. Voting Republican benefits me in no way. But beyond that, voting Republican does nothing for the common person. The Republicans are looking out for number one, namely rich, white men and their subservient spouses,...

Because among so many other things, Bush 1. has made this country less safe from terrorism by invading Iraq, 2. makes policy decisions based on ideology and not reality, 3. has turned a record surplus into a record deficit, 4. has been the only president in 70 years to preside over a loss of jobs, 5. has added over a million more people to those living in poverty, 6. is working hard to take
away our rights- on reproductive choice, privacy, etc.

Because I haven't chosen the lesser of 2 evils yet.
I believe strongly in the 10 Key Values of the Green Party. I am voting Green, because I am strongly against the war in Iraq and I agree with our candidate's stand on other issues such as gay marriage, healthcare for all, Instant Runoff Voting, and justice. On November 2nd I will vote for David Cobb to show my support for the issues he stands for.
10 Key Values of the Green Party
Grassroots Democracy - Ecological Wisdom - Social Justice and Equal Opportunity - Nonviolence - Decentralization - Community Based Economics - Feminism - Respect for Diversity - Personal and Global responsibility - Future Focus and Sustainability

Still waiting to find a decisive factor to separate Bush and Kerry.

GWB has proved himself to be capable of suppressing facts that do not agree with his stated opinion in a so-called free country.
Specifically, he has used his powers to suppress proper scientific research when it did not agree with him.
The USA has been the best place in the entire world to conduct scientific research for many years. The scientists in the USA have been the top researchers for many years. A president who does the above kills the capability of a country to remain at the top, becuase science only thrives on open and complete freedom to discuss results. Besides the money, which GWB has cut out of the budget for the National Institutes of Health.
Cancer may have a cure, but GWB will kill the ability of the best researchers in the world to discover it.
This is one of the many reasons I did not vote for GWB.
