User Why's
We can't afford to have a Democrat in the White House and the Democrats in control of both houses of Congress.
Because I don't agree fully with Republican and/or democrat views.
I'm a Republican, and the thought of voting for McCain gives me night sweats. I have to decide whether to vote for Obama or not at all.
i vote per person/issue but to vote in the primary's i did to use the two party system
Truely I feel the need to vote for Bush, but I am not entirely sold. I am totally confused and can assure you that I will probably walk into the voting booth the same way. Some might say that perhaps I shouldn't vote because of my indifference, but I disagree. A vote is a vote either way. In some ways I just feel as though we are voting for the lesser of two evils and that only makes it more difficult.
I'm voting Blue because the country has taken a turn for the worse in terms of individual freedoms, environmental health, human rights at home (patriot act), separation of church and state, and general xenophobia in the last four years. Terrorism is not an excuse to self destruct. I trust Kerry much more than Bush to change this. Further, in the last few months Bush has made it crystal clear that he will appoint fundamentalists to the supreme court if given the chance, and that is unacceptable to me.
Kerry seems to me to be a moral coward, the ultimate "me, too"-er who says and does whatever seems to be popular or trendy at the time. When ifghting in Vietnam was patrotic he wanted to be part of that. When the tide of public opinion turned against it he did too and became a radical war protestor when radical war protestors were the height of cool. As a Massachutes senator and Ted Kennedy's junior he was a classic anti-military liberal. After 9/11 changed the current culture he burnished his tough-on-terror credentials, including voting for the Patriot Act and the Iraq war. When that soured he voted against funding for it and became a mouthpiece for his party's anti-war base, saying the president somehow tricked him by using the authorization to go to war he voted for in the wrong way. Now he is trying to balance his appeal to the hawks and doves- he said Iraq was and was not a threat in the same debate! This guy will say and do anything to further his political career. How...

America (and the Not-So-United Nations) cannot afford another 4 years of a regime that invades then denies while turning a blind eye to the man responsible for the largest terrorist attack in US history. George Bush Dick Cheney are a cancer on the ass America has become in the global scheme of things I will vote for a team that I believe will fight to raise my wage, return my health care, help my elderly father and grade school sister while bringing back to the table the nations we have offended the world over. GEORGE W. BUSH WAS NOT EVEN ELECTED PRESIDENT THE FIRST TIME AROUND!?! How soon we forget and how easy we lie down and take it in the...
I think Bush is a jerk off. He said in his intial campaign 4 yrs ago he would increase grant money when in actuality, he decreased it. I'm a poor college kid, I need help making through!
President Bush has been strong in leading our country, though he appears reckless at times. Kerry is simply not predictable. Not a single person can predict what direction he would take this country were he elected. Libertarian and Green Party candidates offer another option, but as of yet are not viable options. Kerry needs to solidify his position on issues and Bush needs to offer detailed plans to improve our economy and political status abroad before I can make my decision.

John Kerry was willing to answer the questions from the debate openly, for the most part, unlike his opponent who mostly dodged the questions. I don't think we can survive another four years of George W. Bush. He is unethical and it looks like we have a puppet government. I think John Kerry can bring integrity back to the American presidency.
I don't feel that the United States would be safe under the leadership of Kerr.

I believe in liberty. I believe in freedom. I believe all of the ideals afforded to Americans in the Declaration of Independence. Maybe I’m silly to believe in good. My values, my idea of good, are more aligned with those of the Democratic Party and of John Kerry.
Bush has added no value to the country. He's destroyed foreign relations, created a mockery of domestic issues, and has no interest in anything beyond being "right"...even as it becomes more and more evident that he's tragically wrong.

I'm a consertive and pro-life issues are very important to me. I think that GB is doing a good job during a difficult time in our country. The economy was on a downward slide when he took office and he should not take the blame for what the democrats set in motion.

I am voting Libertarian because they are the party with the beliefs closest to mine. I can't bring myself to vote Kerry as I would be voting the lesser of two evils and I would like to be able to look myself in the face after voting and not feel dirty for voting the lesser of two sleazy parties.

I did not vote for Bush in 2000, because he had presented himself as less-than-qualified for the job on a number of occasions. After four years, he has done nothing to sway me from my original reasons for voting Democrat, and I have become a more "devout" liberal during this time. I did not support the invasion Iraq from the time I heard the very first rumblings of it, and it's clear that we've upset the world, and Muslims with our wreckless actions. Mr. Bush is far too conserative for my tastes, and I am concerned about his religious convictions playing too large a role in his presidency. It's time to send him back to Crawford.

I am opposed to Bush because for a myriad of reasons. His handling of the downed spy plane in Chinese waters at the beginning of his term showed, from the get go, a decided lack of understanding of foreign cultures. The amount of vacation time he took prior to 9/11 would get any of us fired from our jobs. His inability to read security reports that could have helped up prevent 9/11 shows a reckless disregard for the safety of the American people. His signing the Patriot Act and his supporting a permanent version of the Patriot Act are tantamount to the beginning of fascism in this country. His insistance that Iraq should be on our list was silly. His refusal to allow the weapons inspectors to finish their job was at best a sign of impatience. His flip-flopping (that's right folks ... Bush is the real flip-flopper) on his reasons for starting the war with Iraq proves to me that war with Iraq in general was always his primary goal, regardless of the reason for the war. His...

I simply feel that Kerry is a better man for the job.he's a good man, and eminently qualified.
The currnt president is a menace. He blew it against osama, he screwed up in Iraq, he's the first president to see a net loss in jobs since Hoover, the budget deficit will be something our children and grandchildren will pay dearly for in the future, making the tax 'cuts" little more than deferments with interest, he's gutted the EPA, has NO sustainable energy policy, and has alienated the entire world.
Who would Osama vote for? Bush! for bringing billions into Saudi Arabia and swelling the ranks of Al Queda.

The *necessary & sufficient* reason (for me) is that Bush misled me into believing there was a threat to the USA that was imminent and so serious that we had to launch a pre-emptive and practically unilateral war.
I believe in the environment. I think some of Nader's polocies are great but I think he's being stupid to run. He's taking the vote away from the Democrats.
I think both Kerry and Bush are idiots. I dispise Bush with a purple passion but I think Kerry tends to change his mind a bit. Voting for Nadar however would be a wasted vote. So, by voting for Kerry I'm, in my opinion, choosing the lesser of the two evils.

I'm voting for John Kerry not only because he is our last best hope at this moment in time, but also because I believe he is a smart and serious man who understands the complexities of the world and will fight to restore America's standing and strength based on the moral values from which our Constitution was derived.
One friend said sadly, "Well, if Bush wins it's just four years." I don't feel that way. I think the damage he has done to this country in his first term will take a generation to "fix." If Bush has another four years, I honestly believe that the Constitutional fabric of our country as well as our standing in the world will be eroded for many more generations to come.
For me, it's the only really choice in this election. Change is something we need, and something the democrats are going to give us. Hurray for progression.
